“If only this property was located in Pacific Heights!”
Well, if it were located in Pacific Heights, it wouldn’t be $3,500,000, it would be more like $7,000,000.
The Hamilton Penthouse is located in District 8A of San Francisco, also known as “Downtown.” It’s between Nob Hill and the Tenderloin. It’s an edgy and trendy area. It’s not anything like Pacific Heights, and some people will find that to be a good thing. Many people want to be able to walk to shopping and restaurants, but if you live in Pacific Heights, you may have to walk quite a ways to have much of a selection to choose from. If you want to be close to restaurants, entertainment, transportation and shopping, this location is excellent. Additionally, if you truly like and understand a wide variety of humans, you may really enjoy the neighborhood.
The immediate area has been going through a bit of a Renaissance. And keep in mind the newest places are marketing themselves as being in the Tenderloin, when they are really located in the district called Downtown. Considering Tenderloin is supposed to be a worse area than Downtown, that should tell you something about how trendy it is to be located in the Tenderloin at this time. Some of the really original and innovative places nearby:
The striking and beautiful Hamilton building was constructed in 1930, but the penthouse, which occupies the entire 21st floor and has secured elevator access, was built in the 70s. The Hamilton has a very social feel, with friendly and artistic residents. People who live at 631 Ofarrell are very happy to be there!
Mark Levinson is the listing agent and I have been holding open houses for him on Sundays 2-4. I would love to represent any buyer who does not have an agent they are working with. Cameron 415-269-382
